Quentenain is a regular at the Wench who spends more nights there than in his own home.
He remembers the journal's owner well: the man drank twenty flagons, passed out, and left Quentenain to pay. Still angry, he tells you the man was heading for Aleport and may be stuck at the ferry docks.
