  3. The feral swine have been dispatched. Report your success to Piralnaut.
  4. Home to an aetheryte and overlooking a key hub of transportation in the realm, Josselin's Spire demands the utmost vigilance from its sentries. Your swine-slaying bravery has inspired Piralnaut, who resolves to be ever more vigilant in his duties.
Hidden
Lore Piralnaut never names the hero the spire is named for. Lore tells of a Captain Josselin who led Gridania's first spearmen and drove the Ixal out of the forest. They became the Wood Wailers.
Title reference The title is a made-up word: 'swine' plus '-phobia', the ending used for a fear of something. It fits Piralnaut, a sentry who is terrified of boars.

Piralnaut

Th-Those frightful snouts...tusks like unto spears...and the squealing! That dreadful squealing, a death hymn that haunts my dreams each night... Why, oh why, did I ever leave home to come here?

‘You there, adventurer, would you take on a chore for me?’ English has Piralnaut babble in terror about boars; Japanese has him calmly ask for help with a chore.

...Ahem. Hail, adventurer! Your sharp-eyed mien tells me you're keen to prove yourself, and─to your good fortune─I've a, uh, menial task ideal for one of your fair-to-middling abilities. Wild boars plague the Bramble Patch, and it's about time that someone culled the herd. Well? Hop to it, now.

‘I have just the task suited to your abilities to entrust to you.’ English slights your "fair-to-middling abilities"; French simply says the task suits your abilities.
‘Don't worry, they're not as dangerous as they look!’ English just tells you to hop to it; French reassures you the boars are not as dangerous as they look.

Report to Piralnaut.

P-Please, you have my vow! I shall wear boarskin armor no more! I will starve before I partake in the tiniest morsel of salted pork! Just make them go away!

‘You've defeated them for me? What a help.’ English has Piralnaut swear off boarskin in terror; Japanese calmly thanks you for defeating them.
‘This outpost, Josselin's Spire, was built right after the Calamity.’ English swears off salted pork; Japanese explains the outpost was built right after the Calamity.

...Wh-What? The swine plague the Bramble Patch no more? Oh, thank you, friend. To speak the truth of it, I have been plagued by a dreadful phobia of those tusked monstrosities in recent weeks.

‘There had been construction plans from the start, but a new-model aetheryte was installed at the Hawthorne family's hut, and it became an important base as a hub of trade and military.’ English has Piralnaut confess a phobia of boars; Japanese explains the outpost became important after a new aetheryte.

But I realize this will not do. Josselin's Spire overlooks a hub of trade and military activity, and to shirk my duties would be a dishonor to the hero whose name the spire bears. You have instilled no small measure of courage in me today, friend, and for this I am grateful.
