Ostfyr is a Yellowjacket watchman (a kind of guard) at the La Thagran Checkpoint, an area that rarely sees kobolds.
Moegramm's report opens Ostfyr's eyes to the kobold danger. He wants stronger patrols of the lowlands, or the region may be lost. He remembers when kobolds tried to seize the west, and asks you to warn Staelwyrn at Summerford Farms.

Ostfyr wants the area around the La Thagran Checkpoint made safe, as travelers keep arriving bloodied and bruised.
Ostfyr is pained that travelers reach his gates hurt by yarzons at the Rogue River, but needs every man to hold the garrison. The Maelstrom's fleet is spread too thin, so Yellowjackets hold La Thagran. His name means 'East Fire' in old Roegadyn.
