Accepting the quest
Friend, feast yer eyes on this! Why, I've not been blessed with a harvest the likes of this in...well, as long as I can remember.
All I've done is the pickin'─it's the guardians of the forest what brought me this bounty. I'd give thanks meself, but what with those poachers around, I'm like to end up with an arrow through me head.
‘Could you do me a favor and offer [] to the guardian of this part of the forest?’ English says fear of poachers' arrows keeps it from going itself; German simply asks you for a favor.
‘Say, could you make a quick run over and offer this [] at the forest guardian's place for me?’ English says fear of poachers' arrows keeps it from going itself; Japanese just asks you to run the offering over.
Might you be kind enough to go make the offerin' in my stead? And on your return, bring an
apple to Castellaint
. He's been lookin' gaunt of late.
‘Just the sight of this treat will bring tears to his eyes.’ English says Castellaint
has looked gaunt lately; German says the treat will bring tears to his eyes. ‘Once he eats it, it will taste so good he won't be able to think of work.’ English says Castellaint
has looked gaunt lately; Japanese jokes it will taste so good he cannot work.
Deliver a
sprite apple to Castellaint
.
A
sprite apple! My favorite! However did you know? ...From Fawkes
, you say? The man is too kind. Why, each scrumptious bite brings me back to days of... Ah, forgive me, friend.
- DE Sie erinnern mich an meine erste Liebe, ja, ja ... ‘They remind me of my first love, yes, yes...’ English trails off about bygone days; German says the
apples remind him of his first love. ‘How it brings back memories, the taste of first love!’ English trails off about bygone days; Japanese says it is the taste of first love.
What brings you to Quarrymill, adventurer? Mayhap you heard that our pact with the elementals permits hunting in this area? Do not think that gives you leave to strip the forest bare.
