Hidden
Easter egg The journal's 'The hells hath no fury as a woman scorned' bends 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'. That saying comes from the play 'The Mourning Bride', a fitting source for Caitlyn, a bride-to-be still in mourning.
Easter egg The number seven is no accident. Caitlyn asks every adventurer for seven mongrels because her love was found in seven pieces.
Title reference The title flips 'All Dogs Go to Heaven', a 1989 cartoon film by Don Bluth. Caitlyn wants the opposite fate for the mongrels that killed her love.

    • #94 Lichyard Lilies: Airell has you place Nymeia lilies on five simple graves of people who died alone. She explains the lichyard grew large after the Calamity, a great disaster. The Order sends few keepers, and the poor are buried for free.

Accepting the quest

Caitlyn

Looking for a bit of work, are we? Well, it just so happens I'm looking for someone to put down some mongrels─seven of the beasts.

The bloody things have nearly overrun the area to the southeast of here. They attack the locals, livestock─aught that moves. You needn't show the foul things any mercy.

Report to Caitlyn.

Caitlyn

So Thanalan is plagued by seven fewer mongrels, is it? Excellent.

I lost my love to a pack of mongrels three years past. We...we were to be wed. They tore him apart. When we finally chased them off, my love was in seven pieces. Since then, I've asked every adventurer I see pass through here to slay seven of the beasts.

  • DE Vor drei Jahren hat ein Rudel von ihnen meinen Verlobten angefallen und bis zur Unkenntlichkeit verstümmelt. ‘Three years ago a pack of them attacked my betrothed and mutilated him beyond recognition.’ English says he was in seven pieces, matching the seven beasts; German says mutilated beyond recognition.

My vengeance is unceasing. But if I can spare just one other bride-to-be the suffering I have known, then it will all have been worth it.
