  3. You have slain four axe beaks, that would-be pilgrims might enter the hallowed halls of Thal's Respite without fear for their safety. Inform Sister Kyokyozo of your deeds.
  4. Sister Kyokyozo informs you that, thanks to your aid, she has already welcomed a traveling merchant and her family to the Respite. She looks forward to the many encounters with which the Traders will now bless her.
Hidden
Lore Sister Kyokyozo thanks 'the Traders'. That is Nald'thal, the god of her Order. Nald'thal is two twin gods in one, Nald and Thal, which is why the god is spoken of as more than one.

Accepting the quest

Adventurers, merchants, travelers─Thal's Respite is always open to those who seek a momentary reprieve from the hardships of the road.

  • DE Der Ort ist eine der wichtigsten Pilgerstätten unseres Glaubens. ‘The place is one of the most important pilgrimage sites of our faith.’ English says the place is open to anyone seeking a brief rest from the road; German calls it a key pilgrimage site of their faith.
  • JA この「ザルの祠」は、多くの巡礼者たちにとって欠かせない巡礼地のひとつである、とても大切な場所。 ‘This "Thal's Respite" is one of the indispensable pilgrimage sites for many pilgrims, a very important place.’ English says the place is open to anyone seeking a brief rest from the road; Japanese calls it an indispensable pilgrimage site.

In the past, we welcomed countless multitudes through these doors. Sadly, the growing presence of hostile beast tribes and savage creatures now deters many from making the pilgrimage. A shame, is it not?

Perhaps you could come to our aid. The most fearsome of the local fauna is the axe beak. Were you to thin the flock─say, by four birds or so─I do believe these halls would be far more approachable.

Slay axe beaks.

Report to Kyokyozo.

Kyokyozo

My adventuring friend, a traveling merchant and his family just walked through our doors not moments ago. Each encounter is a blessing─a blessing that would not have come to pass had those fearsome fowl continued to run rampant outside our halls. For this, I thank you.

  • DE Das sollte es seinen Schäflein erleichtern, wieder zu ihrem Herrn zu finden. ‘That should make it easier for his little sheep to find their way back to their Lord.’ English reports a merchant and his family just arrived; German says his little sheep can find their Lord more easily.
