Story

1. 100A Wild Rose by Any Other Name

   Isembard is the unofficial leader of Camp Drybone in eastern Thanalan, where most of the missing people were last seen.

   Isembard has no official title, but the camp's people look to him to lead. Minfilia sent word that you were coming and warned him about the Amalj'aa. He gives his word to help bring the victims home safely.

2. 101Unsolved Mystery

   Isembard, leader of Camp Drybone, wants help solving the mystery of the missing people.

   Isembard says the Amalj'aa murdered visitors to the Church of Saint Adama Landama. He asks you to bring back the bodies for a proper burial and thanks you. He feels the Amalj'aa cannot be acting alone and suspects another hand.

3. 102What Poor People Think

   Isembard wants to turn the investigation toward the commonfolk of Drybone.

   Isembard sends you to Ungust with a note, calling him rough but the man who knows the locals best. He is not surprised Ungust was little help. He thinks the commonfolk speak freely only to their gods, so the clergy may know something.

4. 103A Proper Burial

   Isembard wants you to ask the clergy at the Church of Saint Adama Landama about the missing commonfolk.

   Isembard trusts you to carry an embalmed body to the church for burial, and thanks you for it. When Thancred names Sister Ourcen as a suspect, Isembard is shocked and cannot believe she could do it.

5. 104For the Children

   Isembard is troubled by the suspicions about Sister Ourcen and does not want to believe them.

   Isembard admits Ourcen often visits the Golden Bazaar alone and talks to children. He sends you to a boy she likes. Hearing she risked her life for an orphan's ring, he is sure she is innocent and offers her a room at the inn.

6. 105Amalj'aa Wrong Places

   Isembard has a message for you from Thancred. Sister Ourcen rests in the inn room he reserved.

   Isembard is glad he reserved the room, since Ourcen was hurt worse than she said. He sends you to Thancred. Hearing the culprit poses as a priest, he is shocked, but glad the case moves forward, and vows to stay watchful.

7. 106Dressed to Deceive

   Isembard wants to help catch the false priest, but has seen nothing unusual at Camp Drybone.

   Isembard fears more innocents may fall victim. He admits he is useless in battle, but he gives you and Thancred old, smelly, stained clothes for your disguise. He lends you another set if you lose them.
