Accepting the quest
An alarming number of citizens have gone missing of late, though I suspect you've already heard the rumors.
It is essential that we ascertain their safety. To this end, I have prepared a list based on reports from our citizens. Would you be so kind as to deliver it to my colleague in Bulwark Hall? N'delika
is her name. My thanks in advance, friend.
- FR J'aimerais vous demander de remettre cette liste des portés disparus à une Miqo'te appelée N'delika
, au Bastingage. ‘I would like to ask you to hand this list of the missing to a Miqo'te called N'delika
, at the Bulwark.’ French calls her just 'a Miqo'te'; English already gives away that she is Ginnade's
colleague.
Deliver the
missing persons list to N'delika
in Bulwark Hall
Welcome to Limsa Lominsa! If there's aught you would like to know, feel free to─ ...Hm? You've got something for me, you say? A
missing persons list? I'm not sure I follow...
- DE Zeig mal her. ‘Let me see.’ German N'delika
asks to see the list at once; English N'delika first pretends not to understand. - JA ようこそリムサ・ロミンサへ……えっ、本部が作成した「行方不明者の一覧」を持ってきてくれたの? ‘Oh, you brought me the "list of missing persons" that headquarters drew up?’ Japanese N'delika
openly mentions headquarters at once; English N'delika first pretends not to understand.
(Thanks for bringing the list─I'll be sure to memorize these names. If any of the missing persons reappear, you can count on me to spot them.)
(Most folk enter the city via the Zephyr Drift, which means they must pass through Bulwark Hall. That's why I'm on constant watch here, and undercover so as to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.)
- DE Mit jedem Schiff, das anlegt, kommen neue Händler, Abenteurer, Handwerker, ja, ganze Familien nach Limsa Lominsa. ‘With every ship that docks, new merchants, adventurers, craftsmen, indeed whole families come to Limsa Lominsa.’ German has newcomers arriving by ship; English has most people entering by the Zephyr Drift.
(I've been doing this for so long, I've become a pretty good judge of character. If there're shady characters skulking about, you can rest assured I can pick them out. Heh heh heh.)
- JA 毎日、たくさんの人を見てるから、怪しい人は、だいたい分かるようになったわ。さてキミは……将来有望って感じよ、うふふ。 ‘I see lots of people every day, so by now I can pretty much tell who's suspicious. And you... you strike me as someone with a bright future, hee hee.’ N'delika
brags she can spot suspicious people, then sizes you up. The English N'delika only laughs. - FR Vous, j'ai tout de suite su que vous étiez aventurière/er quand vous êtes entré(e). ‘You, I knew right away that you were an adventurer when you came in.’ English has her boast she can pick out shady characters; French has her say she spotted you as an adventurer.
