Story

1. 143Meeting with the Resistance

   Meffrid is a captain of the Ala Mhigan Resistance, staying at Quarrymill.

   Albreda points Meffrid out to you at Quarrymill and names him as a captain of the Resistance. She hopes he can give you what you need.

2. 144Killing Him Softly

   Meffrid, a proud man of the Ala Mhigan Resistance, is at Quarrymill with his men.

   Meffrid's man Gallien has a festering wound and a fever. Meffrid begged the villagers on his knees, but they refused to help. Too angry to plead well, he asks you to try through Albreda. The Hearer's refusal enrages him, and he curses the elementals.

3. 145Helping Horn

   Meffrid is desperate to save his wounded comrade Gallien, since the people of Quarrymill refuse to help.

   Meffrid wants to leave Quarrymill, but some of his men cannot travel. He asks you for four long antelope horns, an Ala Mhigan cure for poison. He thanks Rhalgr for you and sends you to Buscarron's tavern to prepare them.

4. 146He Ain't Heavy

   Meffrid is staying at Quarrymill while his wounded comrade Gallien recovers.

   Meffrid is frantic when Gallien goes missing and calls him a big sentimental fool. Finding him, Meffrid says Ala Mhigans never forsake one another and recalls their oath to retake their homeland together. He thanks you for saving Gallien.

5. 147Come Highly Recommended

   Meffrid wants to repay you for all your help to his people.

   Meffrid offers you anything he can give. Surprised you only want the help of Little Ala Mhigo, he writes you a letter for Gundobald. Gundobald was his mentor in the Resistance, intimidating to strangers but caring for his own.
