  • Minfilia

Minfilia wants to introduce you to an Ala Mhigan member of the Scions.

What you know from earlier quests 13
    • #99 The Scions of the Seventh Dawn: She welcomes you home after five years, as Louisoix said. The Scions protect Eorzea from the primals, godlike beings. Your power, the Echo, shows people's pasts and lets you understand any speech. She has it too, asks your help, and shares the password "wild rose."
    • #100 A Wild Rose by Any Other Name: Minfilia welcomes you to the Scions and introduces its leaders. She thinks people forget you because of the power Louisoix used to save your life. She asks you to lead an investigation into crimes in Ul'dah that may involve a primal, a godlike being.
    • #101 Unsolved Mystery: Isembard says Minfilia names the Amalj'aa as the culprits behind the disappearances, so he advises you to look into them first.
    • #106 Dressed to Deceive: Thancred sends you to report to Minfilia. She praises your work and says only the Amalj'aa know where the abducted were taken. She fears blood must be spilled before this is over.
    • #107 Life, Materia and Everything: Minfilia lends you a dagger to take to Mutamix. She admires how much one piece of materia improves it, and urges you to use materia, since good gear can decide victory or defeat. She then turns to your next mission.
    • #108 Lord of the Inferno: Minfilia is relieved to see you safe. With Thancred, she explains that primals feed on crystals and worship. She says those with the Echo, like you, cannot be tempered, or forced to serve a primal. She leaves out the captives' fate.
    • #111 A Hero in the Making: Minfilia warns that fame has a price. Officers from all three Grand Companies (city armies) come to recruit you. She urges you to join one for safety among friends, gives you a linkpearl to keep in touch, and hopes you still aid the Scions.
    • #113 Till Sea Swallows All: Minfilia calls you by linkpearl to congratulate you on joining the Maelstrom. She reminds you that you are still a Scion and asks you back to the Waking Sands. There she says Biggs and Wedge are now under the Scions' protection.
    • #114 Sylph-management: Minfilia explains a study of the sylphs, a beast tribe of the Twelveswood, done for the Order of the Twin Adder. She wants a peaceful approach. She asks you to use the Echo, the only sure way to show your intentions.
    • #134 Believe in Your Sylph: Yda says she and Papalymo are going back to the Waking Sands to tell Minfilia all about the talks with the sylphs. Papalymo promises to mention the part you played.
    • #135 Back from the Wood: Minfilia praises your work and reviews the primals left to watch. Hearing of Lahabrea, she is alarmed that the Ascians no longer hide, and wants him investigated. She is glad the Scions' family grows, yet feels deep foreboding.
    • #136 Shadow of Darkness: Minfilia fears the Ascians are behind the chaos in the realm. She asked each Grand Company for help, and the Immortal Flames answered. She sends you to Commander Swift in Ul'dah and asks you to be careful.
    • #142 Foot in the Door: Minfilia feels for the Ala Mhigan refugees, who lost their homeland two decades ago and now face poverty and unfair treatment. She thinks only taking back their home would truly help. She offers to introduce you to an Ala Mhigan among the Scions.
  • Haribehrt

Haribehrt is a member of the Scions from Ala Mhigo. He joined them hoping to free his homeland, and is now between missions in the storage area.

  • Albreda

Albreda is a woman living in Quarrymill, in the South Shroud. She knows people in the Ala Mhigan Resistance.

  • Meffrid

Meffrid is a captain of the Ala Mhigan Resistance, staying at Quarrymill.

Accepting the quest

Minfilia

Your Ala Mhigan comrade is named Haribehrt. He joined our cause in the hopes that he might find a way to liberate his homeland.

While he spares no effort towards that endeavor, I have no doubt that he would be glad to assist you.

If I recall correctly, Haribehrt is currently between missions. Try looking for him in the storage area.

Speak with Haribehrt.

Haribehrt

If it isn't [name], the Scions' rising star! Is there aught I can do for you?

You wish to win the trust of the people of Little Ala Mhigo! That is a daunting task, my friend, even for our own countrymen.

I would like nothing more than to help, but I'm afraid my name no longer carries weight with that lot.

I used to be a member of the Ala Mhigan Resistance, you see, but I left in favor of joining the Scions.

Though my allegiance may have shifted, my purpose remains ever the same─the liberation of Ala Mhigo. Yet whatever my reasons were, I abandoned my comrades, and they'll have nothing to do with me.

Now, while I may have no more friends in the Resistance, I know someone who does. Her name is Albreda, and she is a resident of Quarrymill. Say my name when you meet her, and she won't lead you astray.

Speak with Albreda at Quarrymill.

Albreda

Eh? You want me to introduce you to the Resistance? Hah! Why the hells should I do that? Give me just one reason!

  • DE Ha, du bist wohl ein Spion der Garlear, was? ‘Ha, you must be a spy for the Garleans, eh?’ English asks why she should help at all; German accuses the stranger of being a Garlean spy.
  • JA 「アラミゴ解放軍」を紹介しろたぁ、アンタ、誰の差し金だい? ‘Asking me to introduce you to the "Ala Mhigan Resistance"... who put you up to this?’ English asks why she should help at all; Japanese asks who sent the adventurer to her.

H-Haribehrt sent you!? Grrr, that worthless whoreson... He abandons his comrades─his woman─and now he has the gall to ask me for a favor!? Simply incredible...

I just... I mean... Ugh. I realize Haribehrt was only doing what he felt was right. He's a good man. And if he trusts you, then that's all I need to know. You see that bloke there? That's Meffrid, a captain of the Resistance. I hope he can give you what you need.

  • DE Dann sprich mit Meffrid, der dort vorne vor sich hinsiecht. ‘Then speak with Meffrid, who is wasting away over there.’ English introduces Meffrid as a Resistance captain; German describes him as wasting away over there.
  • DE Wenn du die Gemütslage der Flüchtlinge verstehen willst, ist er der beste Lehrmeister, den du dir wünschen kannst. ‘If you want to understand the refugees' state of mind, he is the best teacher you could wish for.’ English hopes Meffrid can give what you need; German calls him the best teacher for understanding the refugees' mood.
  • JA 解放軍に近づきたいなら……そうさね、そこで腐ってる「メッフリッド」の話を聞いてみな。 ‘If you want to get close to the Resistance... well, go and hear out Meffrid, who's rotting away there.’ English introduces Meffrid as a Resistance captain; Japanese describes him as rotting away over there.
  • JA 流民の心を知る、それが最初の一歩さ。 ‘Knowing the hearts of the refugees, that's the first step.’ English hopes Meffrid can give what you need; Japanese says knowing the refugees' hearts is the first step.
