)()())/> [name]. I have been keeping a close eye on you of late. Your efforts on behalf of Ul'dah do us all proud.
Yes, I understand now what the Flame General saw in you. It would not be an understatement to say that the future of our Grand Company is riding on your capable shoulders.
And yet, it is also clear to me that you have only begun to tap into the depths of your potential.
Your flame burns strong, but it may yet grow stronger. Yes, I would see you become a blazing inferno that reduces all that oppose Ul'dah into smoldering embers.
‘For this reason, I would like to send you to the Grand Company officers' training base, a facility created jointly by the members of the Eorzean Alliance.’ English wants you to become an inferno burning Ul'dah's foes to embers; French wants to send you to a training base.
‘You should know, there is a certain institution that can speed up your development.’ English wants you to become an inferno burning Ul'dah's foes to embers; German mentions an institution that speeds development.
‘If you aim even higher, there is a place you should go.’ English wants you to become an inferno burning Ul'dah's foes to embers; Japanese says there is a place to go.
It is with such hopes that I have made arrangements for you to receive training at the Wolves' Den─a proving ground established by the Eorzean Alliance for the training of Grand Company recruits. Mayhap you are familiar with it?
That look in your eye tells me you are eager to take to the road. I knew I had not misjudged you.
The Wolves' Den is to be found just off the shores of La Noscea. The ferry at the Moraby Drydocks in lower La Noscea will grant you passage there.
Upon your arrival, seek out Storm Captain Berkoeya Loetahlsyn. I have already taken the liberty of submitting a letter of recommendation on your behalf.
Speak with Berkoeya Loetahlsyn at the Wolves' Den.
Berkoeya
I don't recall seein' yer ugly mug around here before. Hm? Ye say that Swift
sent ye!?
‘I'm Captain Loetahlsyn, the officer in charge of supervising the training at the Wolves' Den!’ English opens by insulting your ugly mug; French has him cheerfully introduce himself.
- DE Mein Name ist Großsturmbootsmann Berkoeya! ‘My name is Chief Storm Boatswain Berkoeya!’ English opens by insulting your ugly mug; German has him formally introduce himself.
‘My name is Berkoeya Loetahlsyn, Storm Captain!’ English opens by insulting your ugly mug; Japanese has him formally introduce himself.
He said he was sendin' a new wolf to the Den─bah! More like the runt of the litter, if ye ask me.
‘Right now, we are organizing a special exercise, open to Grand Company members and adventurer brigade volunteers alike.’ English mocks you as the runt of the litter; French instead announces a special training exercise.
‘Right now this place is holding joint training... "Crystalline Conflict", with members of each nation's Grand Companies and volunteers from adventurer squads!’ English mocks you as the runt of the litter; Japanese instead announces the joint training exercise.
Ye barely have fangs for the honin', but I guess I'm feelin' godsdamned generous, so I'll throw ye a bone─start yerself off with Crystalline Conflict. Them trainin' bouts are made special for feckless adventurin' types who can't tell sound strategy from a horse's arse.
‘Here, nobody cares about your allegiance, your rank or your reputation: only your skills and your will to win count!’ English mocks the bouts as made for clueless adventurers; French says allegiance, rank and reputation do not matter.
‘Regardless of affiliation or rank, let alone past fame, you prove your worth with nothing but your own fangs and claws... a battle of fiery beasts!’ English mocks the bouts as made for clueless adventurers; Japanese says affiliation, rank and fame do not matter.
I still reckon it won't be dawn/sundown before ye run home with yer tail between yer legs, cryin' for yer mum, but ye can have a word with Lieutenant Gungi Zelungi
if ye insist on givin' it a go. Ye'll find him outside, assumin' ye can work up the nerve.
‘I won't hide that you may have a hard time... but it's by rubbing shoulders with the other resident hotheads that you will become a true fighting beast!’ English predicts you'll run home crying for your mum; French promises you'll become a true fighting beast.
‘Fight here, keep training, and become a hound that sinks its teeth into the enemy... no, become a ferocious wolf!’ English predicts you'll run home crying for your mum; Japanese urges you to become a ferocious wolf.
And stand up straight, maggot! This ain't no place for the weak of spine. Dismissed!
